The little boy with the ice cream is one of my favorite photographs. I was wandering around the State Fair grounds when I noticed a little boy and his mother sitting on the curb. The little boy was eating ice cream, or at least attempting to eat it. It was one of the cutest things I had ever seen! And of course, photo-worthy! I talked to the mother a bit, asked her to photograph her son, while he continued trying to eat the melting ice cream. In the end, I captured the little boys piercing green eyes and the confluence of colors in the image.
The second photo was also a treat. As I continued my excursion through the state grounds, I came across this dog show. I don’t remember what it was called, but I do remember the audience, especially the kids, getting a kick out off what the dog was doing. At the end of the show, the owners allowed the audience to go meet this exceptionally talented doggie. And of course, the kids swarmed to the dog pop star to meet him. In the moment, I captured the perfect image, as the last group of kids in the long line all converged on the dog star. I’m not sure if the dog was so keen on his stardom.
