This is my favorite photograph of all that I’ve taken. I was walking around this local town’s 4th of July celebration with my camera, making my way through the commotion and excitement, when I stumbled across this mother with her adorable baby girl, both placidly sitting on the grass. I asked the mother if I could take photos of both of them and she happily agreed. The little girl had a field day with my camera! And of the dozens of quick snaps I took, I got lucky enough to capture this one perfect photo, with the purity of the sun gleaming over the baby’s innocent head and the proud mama glancing on. There is never a bad photo of a happy child.
